Tree - The King
I know we already showed Tree some love, but you gotta appreciate an Elvis sample. Overall, Tree’s sample game is TUFF tho…

Tree - Sunday School II, When Church Lets Out

Chicago producer/mc Tree, has one of the most unique voices in rap music. He’s defined his sound as Soul Trap, which is rich with sample material that definitely fit the bill, but more importantly, a heartfelt delivery and content that has hit home with a growing audience of rap listeners. It’s important for rap to have genuine voice with the ability to match when so many talents fire line after line of redundant fantasy, or the dreaded content purists with “skills” that grate. Good thing Tree stays busy, and you can expect to see a new production, feature, or collaboration almost weekly.

Matias Aguayo - El Sucu Tucu
This track is a monster…
Matias Aguayo has swerved from mini-tech to maxi-slaps. The temperature flares as the elements pile up in this frenzied ascender while his slick chatting leads the charge. The placement of the percussive elements is so purposeful, deliberate, and so dance inducing… although “El Sucu Tucu” is a departure, it’s proof his time in minimalist dance/tech was well spent.
