Thank you all for the continued support, the downloads have really picked up lately and I'm very appreciative. This week I brought in another special guest dj. I've known Tone aka DJ Megablack for many years now, ever since he came out from Virginia. We immediately bonded as friends and fellow dj's from day one. I'm really and truly happy to have him on the show. Tone is no stranger to the Podomatic family, you can catch more of him at www.funkhutradio.podomatic.com. I slid in a couple new joints before Tone graced the set, including new music from Denmark's own Quadron. I recently saw them here in Oakland and loved their live set. Also, from Amsterdam, I played music from The Numaads. Global Soul is really on point right now, and it's great to see the music being taken in different directions. We'll next week it'll just be me, so have a great week and enjoy, peace & luv luv.

One of the best things about having my show is sharing the wealth. With that said, the Bay's own DJ G.Wayne fell thru this week and blessed the tables. His skills are unquestionable and the musical selection speaks for itself. You can catch "G Dub" frequently doing his thing around the Bay, hit his website up, follow him on Twitter, Facebook, etc...
I tried to fill a number of requests this week, so here ya go. Debuting this week is one of my favorite new joints, "The Cure" by Lalah Hathaway & Rahsaan Patterson. This is off the very nice "United We Cure" project, an album put out by clothing company Privacy Wear. The cd was put out in support of efforts to fight breast cancer. Privacy Wear provides free mammograms to uninsured women across the country, finding a facility in their neighborhood that will give them a speedy appointment. Privacy Wear covers the full cost of the mammogram, including (if necessary) transportation to get to the appointment. Good music for a great cause. Please seek it out at www.privacywear.com, peace and luv luv.
Happy Memorial Day to all, hopefull it was all you wanted it to be. This week i played a bunch of soulful reggae covers. I mixed it in with a couple new joints as well including a very nice soulful/inspirational house track from my dude Ron Trent f/Erik Rico called "Sensation". You can find this track on Traxsource as well as on vinyl, please support. thanks for listening and take care.
This week was a tough one, as the music world lost Guru/Keith E after a long bout with illness. I'll keep my words brief, as I really want folks to listen to this show, and how i came to know the one best that ever did it.
This week after the first few joints I focused on some 80's drum machine driven soul. It's one of my favorite times/era's and in the future i will be working on a mix-cd with these joints & more. Until then, enjoy and as always one luv luv.

Varch (March) was eventful as usual, and with that brought some great new music as well. B.o. B. "Nothin' on You" f/Bruno Mars is so damn infectious. I often find myself singing the melody to myself, and check for B.o.B. on tour with Lupe Fiasco (another Luv Luv Radio favorite) on tour right now. Along those same lines, easily my favorite song out now is "Mama's Got A Brand New Swag" by Joyo Velarde f/Lyrics Born. From the funky horns to the hard driving beat to Joyo's powerful vocals, it doesn't get much better than this. A perfect introduction to her new album "Love and Understanding". Please support and show her some luv luv, www.joyovelarde.com
